The reason for fashion is to give you the confidence to do good in the world.
This year will prove to be challenging no doubt–politically, socially, economically–but there’s no better fighting foot to put forward than a fashionable one. The reason for fashion is to give you the confidence to do good in the world. I know of no better armor when you’re feeling down or prideful expression when you’re up than the power of personal style. It excites me so, because with taste you can show who you innately are and immediately are from the depths of your soul with careful consideration. Style, not only in clothing but also in manner, is one thing that cannot be taken away from anyone. And that, my friends, is true power.
I wanted to feature a look that was cool yet powerful which I found in the dichotomy between the high-street feel of these Astrid Andersen PVC Track Pants and the sartorial Ann Demeulemeester Belted Double-Breasted Blazer. I accessorized with an interesting take on a classic driving glove by Robert Geller, Dolce & Gabbana black sunglasses, and John Varvatos Fleetwood Classic Chelsea Boots.
