Under Distress

I did this shoot with a photographer friend of mine, James Forbush.  He’s incredible at creating intense depth and a raw story in a portrait series like this.  At first I was nervous because there was no way to hide behind clothes and accessories, as I tend to do in my other posts, but he managed to capture a stoic and uninhibited vision of myself that I really appreciate.

I called it Under Distress, not only because of this distressed Monrow tank I’m wearing, but also because of the texture James captured and the portrayal of my unraveling self.
